Hi, I'm Jayne Weiss M.H.S., CCC-SLP, the Founder and Owner of Poppy. I am a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with almost a decade of experience. Since graduating with my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2013, I have worked with hundreds of children from 9 months to 21-years-old. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient programs, schools, private practices, and early intervention (birth-3) in-home services. I have extensive experience with a variety of speech and language disorders, and I’m passionate about parent education and guiding families in how to promote optimal development for their child.

Most recently, I worked for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) which is ranked among the nation's top pediatric hospitals. I absolutely loved working at CHOA while we lived in Georgia for five years, but we felt the pull of being closer to our families after we had children. We fell in love with the Libertyville, Lake Forest and Lake Bluff areas and we now feel right at home.

My favorite roles in life are being a wife and a mom to two young boys. It’s been the joy of my life to watch what I’ve practiced and loved for so long – speech and language – develop in my own boys over the past several years. I love being able to combine both my life as a mom and an SLP together; connecting to my families on a deeper level, as a parent. I understand the feeling of wanting your child to thrive, and it’s an honor to work hand-in-hand with families to help children reach their goals.
